For 300 years the Seigneury of Sault St. Louis has been problematic for Kahnawà:ke, but in the last few months there has been significant progress made in negotiations with the federal government. Direction from Community is now necessary to determine Kahnawà:ke’s next move. Community consultations on possible Land settlement scenarios have been ongoing since December and are now wrapping up.
